Welcome to Camp Moebius

Camp Moebius is a vacation getaway for the Moebius syndrome community. Several days and nights filled with adventure, sharing, laughing, bonding, and maybe shedding a few happy tears, awaits you. There are over 24 different activities to participate in. Staff camp counselors will be available to assist you if needed. Breakfast, Lunch, and dinner are provided each day of your stay at no extra cost to you. 

Guests will be housed at the conference center which is perfect for those with medical needs. It sleeps 3 to 4 people per room with a private bath. All sleeping accommodation rates include 3 meals with each overnight stay per person.

*Single Occupancy: $159.00 per night. *Double Occupancy: $127.50 per night each adult. *Children Age 3 to 7: $21.50 eash night. *Children Age 8 to 12: $32.00 each night per child. *Children Age 13 to 17: $48.00 each night per child.

Camp Moebius runs from Wednesday through Sunday if you would like to attend but can’t stay for the entire camp email us at tim@mfoms.org and we will send you a customized registration.

1:00 pm-6:00 pm: Arrivals & room assignments. Outdoor games with the counselors for the kids attending.

6:00 – 7:00 pm: Dinner in dining hall

7:00 pm -10:30 pm: Meet the Many Faces of Moebius Syndrome Board of Directors. Family introductions.

Luau Mixer/game time.

 

Thursday, July 27, 2023

8:00 am: Breakfast in dining hall

9:00 am-11:30 am: Archery

12:00 pm: Lunch in dining hall

1:00 pm-2:00 pm: Adults Swim time at pool while children do group activities with the Counselors.

2:00 pm-4:30 pm: Family & Adult swim time at pool

1:00 pm-4:30 pm: self-led activities if not swimming; nature hike, bicycles, corn hole, basketball, Labyrinth walk, ping-pong. Outdoor games with the counselors.

Rock Art Crafting or relaxing

4:30 pm-6:00 pm: tie-dying shirts/hats for 70s party

6:00 pm: Dinner in dining hall

7:00 pm-8:30 pm: Adult Happy Hour

7:00 pm-8:30 pm: kid/teen game night with Counselors while adults have happy hour.

8:30 pm-: game time/visiting time.

9:00 am-11:30 am: Canoeing at lake or excursion into Brown County for shopping & art galleries.

12:00 pm: Lunch in dining hall

1:00 pm-2:00 pm: Adults Swim time at pool while children do group activities with the Counselors.

2:00 pm-4:30 pm: Family & Adult swim time at pool

1:00 pm-4:30 pm: self-led activities if not swimming; nature hike, bicycles, corn hole, basketball, Labyrinth walk, ping-pong. Outdoor games with the counselors.

Camp Moebius Scholarship Information

We are excited to announce that we have six (6) available scholarships for Camp Moebius 2023.

Camp Moebius will be held at the Waycross Camp and Conference Center on July 26-30, 2023, in Morgantown, Indiana. All scholarship information must be received no later than Saturday June 10, 2023. Awardees will be housed in the conference center or sleeping wings according to family’s size and needs. 

The following scholarships will be offered:

  • Two (2) $500.00 scholarships will be awarded to individuals with Moebius Syndrome.
  • Two (2) $1000.00 scholarships will be awarded to families of children / relatives with Moebius Syndrome. 
  • Two (2) Full lodging scholarship will be awarded to adult individuals with Moebius Syndrome.

To be eligible for the scholarships:

  • The application must be filled out completely.
  • The individual applying must have Moebius Syndrome or be a parent/guardian of a child with Moebius.
  • Proof of arranged transportation to and from Camp Moebius must be provided.
  • Children under 18 or still in high school must be accompanied by a parent/guardian throughout the duration of Camp Moebius.

Scholarships will not be paid directly to the scholarship recipient(s), but to Waycross Camp and Conference Center to cover the expense of the lodging/food/entertainment.

ALL transportation to and from Waycross Camp and Conference Center in Morgantown, IN will be the responsibility of the Scholarship awardee. If you have any questions, please contact Andrea Sweetwood-Smith at Andrea@mfoms.org
